Roger James Society

Named for the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon’s greatest benefactor, the Roger James Society represents the pinnacle of philanthropy to FCCO. Members believe in the importance of ongoing financial investments to further the FCCO mission and their support is essential to the future of FCCO.

Roger James Society members receive special updates about our program and invitations to occasional Society events. There are two categories of membership: Annual and Lifetime.

Roger James Society Annual Members

Donations of $1,000 or more annually qualify a donor as an Annual Member. This includes cash, in-kind gifts, pledges, planned gifts, and corporate matching gifts, as well as credit for donor-advised funds and private foundations

Roger James Society Lifetime Members

Lifetime Members’ cumulative lifetime gifts and commitments to FCCO reach or exceed $50,000. This includes cash, pledges, planned gifts, and corporate matching gifts, as well as credit for donor-advised funds and private foundations.

Roger W. James was a gentle soul who connected deeply with animals. He felt a very special bond with feral cats and this led him to the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon. Before he passed away, Roger made arrangements to leave an annual legacy of support for feral and stray cats. His substantial contributions made it possible for FCCO to purchase our building, as well as spay/neuter thousands of cats over the years.

He was our inspiration for the creation of the Roger James Society, honoring his commitment and generosity, and including those who now give generously with this same spirit.
